Dolce & Gabbana have teamed up with the Italian appliances brand Smeg to produce 100 limited-edition FAB28 refrigerators, all of which are hand-painted by artists specially commissioned by Dolce and Gabbana themselves.
“Every piece is unique, but they all tell a story consistent with our brand identity. They might be kitchen appliances, but there’s something that is immediately identifiable as Dolce & Gabbana, from the Sicilian barrows to the Trinacria symbol to the marionettes to the Italian lemons and fruits,” Domenico Dolce explains.
Do note this: each fridge took as long as 240 hours to complete, and they are super-limited edition (we hear there might only be 100).
“These are really the perfect collector’s pieces,” says Gabbana. “And even though our companies are in different sectors, there are still similarities, like a passion for creativity and innovation, attention to quality and details, and, of course, a love of Italy and Italian-made products.”
The entire collection will officially debut during Salone del Mobile in Milan.
These beautiful new fridges from Smeg are sure to rocket up to the top of your wishlist!
