The Camper Together project, which includes Camper‘s celebrated partnership with the designer Bernhard Willhelm, takes one step further this A/W 2013-2014, with a unique and bold design developed exclusively for Opening Ceremony, on sale from September.

The limited edition version of the now emblematic, unisex Himalayan sneaker, will be sold exclusively by the concept store in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, London and at www.openingceremony.us.

Himalayan was especially chosen to be part of Opening Ceremony´s country of focus for 2013-2014. Each year Opening Ceremony brings a new group of fashion designers and creators from abroad to add to their acclaimed roster of American and international brands.

Opening Ceremony selected one of Willhelm’s most representative prints for this model, from his S/S 2006 ready-to-wear collection. It features a colorful cartoon-style print, containing little dinosaurs playing in the snow: skiing, snowboarding and sledging. The result is a daring, street concept, with an ironic and naive touch.

The Himalayan shoe was first created for Camper´s A/W 2010-2011 season, and owes its name to the peculiar design of its sole: a striking zig-zag structure that is reminiscent of a mountain range. This model, which is truly revolutionary thanks to the unusual nature of its shapes, as well as the daring mixture of materials, has swiftly become one of the house’s emblematic styles.
