CHANEL premieres “The One That I Want”, the new short film celebrating the iconic fragrance CHANEL N°5 , directed by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, produced by Academy Award-winner Catherine Martin, starring Gisele Bündchen, and actor Michiel Huisman (known for his latest role as Daario Naharis in the HBO series Game of Thrones).

When Luhrmann directed the N°5 film starring actress Nicole Kidman in 2004, he joined a prestigious line of directors who have collaborated with CHANEL – from Ridley Scott, Luc Besson, Kathryn Bigelow to Martin Scorsese.

The CHANEL woman can be with herself on a beach, can be with her child, can have an aspirational and fulfilling work life, and at the same time she can have a true relationship; she can have romance,” says Luhrmann. “And in the end, the CHANEL woman chooses love.”

The One That I Want,  is about the 21st-century woman who has it all but draws the line on her career when her marriage is in trouble, ultimately choosing love. Bündchen, aptly identified as the Chanel No. 5 woman of today, is reflective of how Coco Chanel herself brought the “new era” into the old world in the first place with her new-world female power and sensibilities.

Luhrmann’s strong connection to the world of music, so evident in his feature films, is reflected in his choice of Lo-Fang’s cover of “You’re the One That I Want” with no words or dialogue in the film.

So, this is it.  A great woman, a, inevitable destiny, an epic perfume. Chanel N°5 . The world’s most desirable fragrance.

History: CHANEL N ̊5 was created in 1921 when Coco Chanel asked perfumer, Ernest Beaux, to create a fragrance that reflected her vision of modern femininity. N ̊5 was her lucky number and it was the fifth submission presented to Mademoiselle Chanel that became the iconic CHANEL N ̊5 fragrance.
