Surrounded by a stunning landscape and overlooking the ocean, the majestic POD Boutique Hotel is located in Camps Bay, an affluent suburb of Cape Town, South Africa.
Frequented by celebrities and alive with culture, Camps Bay is one of the world’s most desirable destinations. An up-market suburb of Cape Town, really. Camps Bay is like Rio’s Ipanema, the hip hub where you find all the best restaurants, the great bars. Exclusivity, intimacy, romance. This is how you can spoil that special someone. Or -even better so- spoil yourself.
And nestled between the foot of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, Camps Bay, the POD Boutique Hotel is only 10 minutes away from the city centre, 15 minutes from the V&A Waterfront and 25 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. At POD Boutique Hotel you are right at the heart of it. Soak up the sun, feel the sand between your toes and settle into doing nothing very slowly.
With just 15 bedrooms, it delivers design with a big “D”. An unimposing three levels high, this striking modern structure, designed by Greg Wright Architects, is a study of superbly integrated design, from the outside in. We chose and loved the Deluxe Suites (72 square meter), that open onto a private balcony with breathtaking views of Camps Bay beach, promising an experience second to none. Luxury features include a supremely spacious lounge, bathroom and dressing room. But we could have settled for the Mountain Rooms (22 square meter), the very definition of compact luxury, as these stylish rooms offer partial mountain (the Twelve Apostles mountains) views.
All in all, for those with a taste for the trendy and a keen eye for design, a stay at this luxury boutique hotel is a must.
