Ghostly International has collaborated with Danish headphone designers AIAIAI on a special-edition TMA-1 headphone that merges Danish audio design with curated and timeless sound culture. The collaboration comes with exclusive new features, designed and engineered by Ghostly International.

Not just simply a re-skinning of the original TMA-1s, the Ghostly International edition comes with a striking, woven, black cable as well as a custom driver/cup pairing for a new, signature sound. Fitted with fine grade Morocco leather on-ear cushions, which cancel out surrounding sound, the headphones have been engineered to deliver a powerful bass response with a focus on low-end tonality and dynamics. This provides a full and rich sound that enables the perception of bass at low volumes while a subtle dip in high frequencies prevents listening fatigue.

Sharing an enduring relationship, the two companies are long- standing partners; and like most contemporary music enthusiasts, AIAIAI are long-time fans of the US-based culture hub owing to its incredible roster of diverse talent, ranging from the effortlessly gauzy soundscapes of Tycho and the heady avant-pop of Matthew Dear to the artful design experimentation of Matthew Shlian and Michael Cina.

Likewise, Ghostly debuted the TMA-1 in the US and continue to stock AIAIAI’s headphones in their exquisitely curated online store, while prominent Ghostly artists swear by the reductive design and critically acclaimed performance of the TMA-1 DJ headphone. This special hook up was, in other words, a music-meets-design inevita- bility.
