Hotel Metropole unveils ODYSSEY, a concept created by Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld, featuring a new swimming pool and Joël Robuchon’s third restaurant within the hotel. In 2004, the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo was refurbished to keep it in tune with its time. But it did keep all its spiritual qualities to uphold its concept of luxury, more modern because more emotional. And so, Metropole became a hotel with a real character and soul. Now, the new space is a true haven of peace, exclusive to hotel residents and to the ODYSSEY members. The restaurant ODYSSEY offers an alfresco dining experience at lunchtime with light and refined Mediterranean cuisine.

The French designer’s concept, ODYSSEY, features the hotel’s brand new swimming pool – with a stunning fresco-style installation made up of 15 glass panels portraying Ulysses’ journey, gardens and Joël Robuchon’s third restaurant within the hotel. A real piece of art in itself, this gigantic mural serves as a backdrop to this exclusive area, featuring furniture designed by Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld.

During the day, ODYSSEY is exclusive to hotel residents and to the ODYSSEY members of the Métropole ESPA Monte-Carlo, with VIP guests enjoying breakfast and lunch by the pool (between 8am and 6pm).

The dual concept restaurant ODYSSEY offers an alfresco dining experience at lunchtime with light and refined Mediterranean cuisine. But from June through to September, ODYSSEY transforms into a destination cocktail bar, also aimed at non-hotel guests and locals, with live music, a resident DJ and innovative light bites created by Joël Robuchon. And yes, from the end of September through early Spring, the sea water heated pool becomes an indoor space, thanks to a beautifully designed hard top structure, thus allowing access throughout the year.
