Yves Saint Laurent is about to launch their YSL Arty Stone Collection for Spring 2013. They include some bold springy colours, all worn by Ginta Lapina, the label’s ambassador for this season.
Taking its inspiration from warm, precious jewel tone pigments, the collection includes two nail lacquers which Lloyd Simmonds, Creative Director Make-up Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, describes as “extrememly vivid and intensely pure.
”Pink quartz, amethyst, pyrite, malachite, azurite, jade, each possesses a hypnotic beauty. When you hold them in your hands, these precious stones diffuse energy and light, like galaxies. Their crystalline purity and voluptuous opalescence were the departure point for the creation of the Spring Look 2013 for Yves Saint Laurent“, said Simmonds, when asked about the YSL Arty Stone Collection.
The spring line includes Lumiere Collector Face Palette, Eyeshadow Powder, Collector Eyeshadow Quadra Palette, Cream Blush, Lacquer Couture, Candy Floss Lipstick, False Lash Mascara and Long Lasting Eye Pencil, in limited editions.
Our favourites: the two new Crème de Blush shades in 7 Red Agate and 8 Baby Doll, as well as the Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy in 12 Tasty Raspberry (it does not smudge, it practically melts on your lips and stays on for hours), and the Nail Lacquers in 34 Jade Imperial and 35 Bronze Pyrite.
All in all, Yves Henri-Donat Matthieu-Saint Laurent would be proud.
